 Master Troy Gaines Sr.

Master Gaines is the Founder of Ohio Taekwondo Academy. Master Gaines has been studying martial arts for over 42 years. He currently holds the rank of:

7th Degree Master in Taekwondo

5th Degree Master in GHA Hapkido

4th Degree Master in Tang Soo Do

4th Degree Master in Moo Moo Kwan Hapkido

Master Gaines is a certified Taekwondo, Hapkido, and Tang Soo Do instructor.  

 Master Troy M. Gaines 

Master Troy M. Gaines has over 18 years of martial arts experience. Master Gaines currently holds the rank of:

• 5th Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo
  

Master Troy M. Gaines is the second highest Instructor at Ohio Taekwondo Academy.

Master Lahai Adama Karmo

Master Karmo has been studying Taekwondo for over 12 years. He currently holds the rank of: 

• 4th Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo
  

Master Karmo is a two time State Champion and a two time Silver Medalist at Nationals

Master Valda Freeman-Karmo

​Mrs. Valda Freeman-Karmo has been studying Taekwondo for over 16 years. Master Valda Freeman-Karmo currently holds the rank of:   

• 4th Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo
  

Master Krishna Mungur 

Master Krishna Mungur has been studying Taekwondo for over 16 years. Master Mungur currently holds the rank of:

• 4th Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo

Karen D. Gaines

​​​​Mrs. Karen Gaines has been studying Taekwondo for over 15 years. She currently holds the rank of:

• 3rd Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo
  
• ​2nd  Degree Black Belt in Hapkido

Mrs. Karen Gaines is the Co-Owner of Ohio Taekwondo Academy.

Master Sean Leugers 

Master Leugers started his martial arts training with the US Marines back in 1999.  Where he earned the rank of Black Belt Instructor in the Marine Corps Material Arts Program.

Additionally, Master Leugers currently holds the rank of:  

• 4th Degree Black Belt in Yu Shin Hapkido
• ​2nd  Degree Black Belt in Moo Moo Kwan / GHA  Hapkido

Master Leugers also studied Ryu Karate from 2016-2018 and Shorin Ryu Karate from 2020-2022.

Carl Tillman

​​​​Mr. Carl Tillman has been studying Hapkido for over 5 years. Carl currently holds the rack of:

• ​2nd  Degree Black Belt in Hapkido

Chayla Jackson

​​​​Mrs. Chayla Jackson has been studying Hapkido for over 5 years.  Chayla currently holds the rank of:

• ​2nd  Degree Black Belt in Hapkido
